Here’s the Christmas Eve sermon, 2011, that Pastor Mark delivered to the congregation and visitors at Lutheran Church of the Master, Corona del Mar, CA.
A reading from the Gospel of John, and the children’s sermon are included this time, as well.

Enjoy.

Pastor Mark’s sermon for the 4th Sunday of Advent:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
“Free-will Christians ought to get reaquainted with the God of the Bible.”
(I liked that line that was in the sermon)

Thank you, Pastor Mark.
And thanks to flickr and Western-baires & Anjotesorero(ii), for the photos (in that order).

That’s right.
It is not biblical, and it places the human being’s will over and above the will of the Living God.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The quote is by Gerhard Forde. No doubt many others have said as much, and Pastor Mark is in their number.

‘Water only’ baptism is the same baptism that John the Baptist used, and it is still used by many churches today.
‘Water accompanied by the Word’ Baptism is the Baptism that we use because it is the Baptism that contains Jesus Himself.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Pastor Mark shows us the differences in those baptisms in his 3rd Sunday in Advent sermon (below):

Did Jesus come to whip us into shape?
Did Jesus come that we could be winners in this world?
Did Jesus come to tune us up, and make us better?

Pastor Mark’s midweek Advent sermon. It’s fairly short (under 12 min.), but a good counter to the hustle and bustle that often takes over our lives.

Yes, Sunday was the beginning of the Church year and the start of the Advent season in which we look forward to and prepare for the coming of our Lord.
Pastor Mark’s sermon is about doing just that.

Examine yourself.
Are you doing enough?
And…is it for the right motives?
Are you sure?
