‘Romans’ is coming…

This is from Luther’s preface to his commentary on the Book of Romans:

__

“This Epistle is really the chief part of the New Testament and the very purest Gospel, and is worthy not only that every Christian should know it word for word, by heart, but occupy himself with it every day, as the daily bread of the soul. It can never be read or pondered too much, and the more it is dealt with the more precious it becomes, and the better it tastes.”

Next week, Pastor Mark will start an in-depth Bible study on the Book of Romans. If all goes well, we will record these classes and put them up on this site for your edification.

So…stay tuned for Romans!

(I’m going to start reading a chapter or two a day, until then, so I won’t be completely out in left field when the class starts)

If anyone happens to live in Orange County, CA (or nearby), you are, of course, invited to join us on Tuedays at 7pm for the class.   BYOB  (but, if you don’t have a Bible, we have extras for you to use)

  1. I can hardly wait for the class! Looking forward to tweeting your recording, too.

  2. Me too, Trudi.

It will be a terrific class ( I attended Pastor Mark’s Romans class several years back and it and it was great).

    Thanks for the tweets!

  3. I agree that this Epistle is the linchpin to strengthening our faith and our walk in and by faith. It is one of my faves. Thank you so much for visiting my new blog! I still don’t quite know what my purpose is there. I’ve been going or growing through some… I dunno… sorting, reevaluating… kind of thing, but its so good to see some old Penned Pebbles friends! Blessings!
