There are a few rough spots (not too many) in the recording due to some gremlins in our sound system and an aging and rusty (literally) sound board. We plan on getting  a new one, soon. If anyone would like to help us in any way toward that end, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Pastor Mark.

A blessed Good Friday to you all.

If you can find a service of Tenebrae this evening, you will find it to be a moving experience of Good Friday. It helps to bring home the gravity of it all.

The last day of Jesus’ life on earth…what did he do? Why did he do it?

I know it’s not Maundy Thursday, yet.  But I wanted folks to hear this sermon on Jesus’ last day of life on earth before he was crucified. What he choose to do with his disciples. To hear and understand the “new commandment” that he gave to them, and that He still gives to us.

And then look at ourselves and take stock of how well we are following that new commandment. And to have renewed understanding of why there even had to be a Holy Week…and a cross.

Try and listen at a time when you won’t be interrupted, and try to listen to the entire message. Thanks.

One of the Most Important things that Holy Week does for us.

Who are we?   Who are you?  And what does that have to do with Holy Week, 2012?

Lutheran Church of the Master’s Womens Chorus

The Womens Chorus at LCM, directed by Tanya Khurgel,  had a little recording session today. No fancy equipment or mixing boards…just a couple of mics in front of them and Tanya at the piano.

Here are several hymn selections. I do believe that most or all these hymns are of the more contemporary variety. (I know about muic about as much as I know about physics….nada…but I know I like this!)

Anyway…I hope you’ll enjoy it too:

“Jesus’ ministry as a teacher and as an example…was a failure.”

I told Pastor Mark that I thought this was a great sermon, and he said, “It was all Forde. It was all Gerhard Forde.”

‘Back to grace…again.’ – Another very Lutheran sermon.

I think you’ll like this one…up until the part about how God acts for us in Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  ( I sincerely hope that I am wrong about that )

Then, hopefully, you will be steered back to “grace…again.” ( I hope I am right about that…for myself, as well)
