For those of us who are quite often tempted to give up on God

_

It’s rough out there. And Jesus knew it would be. Look what happened to him and he was the only truly good and faithful person.

_

Jesus said,  “Don’t lose heart when you pray.”

Being Grateful in an Ungrateful World

Luke 17.

_

You know, where Jesus heals the 10 lepers…and only 1 returns to thank him.

_

Pastor Mark unpacks these verses and gives us (surprise…the law…and the gospel) what we need to realize our great need…and then hands over to us, the One who fulfills that need for us.

Praying for more faith?

We’ve probably all done it. But Jesus has us figured out. He’s knows what our game is and won’t play it.

Making a dishonest person an example to follow in your Christian life

That just doesn’t sound right. But when you think about it a little differently, what Jesus says rings true…and stings us and may just wake us up a bit, by God’s grace.

Why Religious People are Deeply Offended by Jesus

8812064237_9487893d02

_

All of those who believe God judges us on the basis of what ‘we do’ (that is the definition of “religious” that we are using here) , are deeply offended at Jesus’ love and mercy for the scumbags of this world.

“Whoever does not hate his family cannot be my disciple.”

Really?

Well…sort of. Pastor Mark unpacks this hard saying of Jesus;

Front row seats…on earth, and in Heaven.

Get your spot right up front. And be somebody. Or not?

“You are not people of the law”

But the Scriptures say this and that about the law (‘what we must do’).

_

Yes…but what else do they say? And what about the New Covenant?

_

If you ever get any twinges of legalism, you need to listen to this:

_

_

_or…

_

Listen > You are not people of the law
