This is a good one for those who are proponents of “sanctification for the righteous”. It’s also very good for “spiritual feathers preeners”.
And it’s good for people like me who need to be reminded that Christ has done it all, is doing it all, and will yet do it all…for the ungodly (that’s me…how about you?).

That’s right. And there is a reason to not fear the Last Judgment (or God’s judgment on you).
Listen in to Pastor Mark’s sermon for Ascension Sunday, 2012. There are some good reasons to have authentic Hope, because Christ ascended into Heaven.

There are several very specific, important things that God gives us in our baptisms.
Listen in to the sermon that Pastor Mark gave just minutes after the Baptism of little Emma Marie, and hopefully you’ll have a better understanding of why we Lutherans baptize infants…or anyone else for that matter.

He grafts you onto Himself and gives you His power to do His will. Right?
Just how does this work?

Who is it that can protect you, take care of you, and guide you?

One might think that the resurrected Jesus would have received a brand new, perfect (without flaw) body after He was raised from the dead to new life.
What about us, then? Will we also retain our wounds and scars?

Pastor Mark’s Good Friday sermon for April 6th, 2012:

There are a few rough spots (not too many) in the recording due to some gremlins in our sound system and an aging and rusty (literally) sound board. We plan on getting a new one, soon. If anyone would like to help us in any way toward that end, it would be greatly appreciated.

I know it’s not Maundy Thursday, yet. But I wanted folks to hear this sermon on Jesus’ last day of life on earth before he was crucified. What he choose to do with his disciples. To hear and understand the “new commandment” that he gave to them, and that He still gives to us.
And then look at ourselves and take stock of how well we are following that new commandment. And to have renewed understanding of why there even had to be a Holy Week…and a cross.

Try and listen at a time when you won’t be interrupted, and try to listen to the entire message. Thanks.
